Personal care, at your pace.

Showering, dressing and getting ready for the day, with a carer who learns how you like things done and gives you the time to do them.

What personal care covers

The list is a starting point. Your routine is the real plan.

Personal care is the hands-on help with the things most people would rather not need help with: a shower, getting dressed, going to the toilet, brushing teeth, or getting safely from the bed to the chair. It is ordinary work, done with dignity, and it is often the difference between a good day and a day that starts badly.

Who this is for

If you are unsure whether you need personal care or nursing, call and describe the task. We will help you work out which is which.

  • You are recovering from surgery, a fall or a hospital stay.
  • You live with arthritis, Parkinson's, MS, vision loss or another condition that makes mornings hard.
  • You are an NDIS participant who needs help with self-care.
  • You care for someone and need a reliable, regular break.
  • You want a professional pair of hands for a few hours a week.

What a visit looks like

No two homes are the same. This is the shape of it, not a script.

Arrive

We check in first.

The carer arrives at the agreed time, says hello properly and asks how you are before anything else. If you use a key safe, we follow the access plan you agreed.

You know who is coming before the visit.

The routine

The water, the order, the pace.

We use your products, your towels and your way of doing things. You do what you can do. We step in for the parts that are hard or unsafe, not for the parts you want to keep.

You can ask us to wait, leave the room or change the plan.

Finish

Safe, tidy, settled.

We leave the bathroom safe, put things back where they belong and make sure you are comfortable before we go. Anything we noticed goes to you first.

Notes and handover stay private.

When personal care needs two people

Some transfers, hoists and bathing setups need two trained people. Tell us what equipment you have and how you usually move. If we cannot staff the visit safely, we will say so rather than improvise. Safety is not a place to improvise.

Why people choose us for personal care

The things that matter more than a logo on a shirt.

The same carer, wherever we can.

Familiar hands make personal care less awkward. We roster the same person to your routine and tell you who is coming.

Visits with enough time in them.

A shower should not be a race. We plan the visit around the task, not the next job.

Dignity is the standard.

Closed curtains, a towel within reach, the name you prefer. Small things, done every time.

Your rate is agreed first.

You know the cost before the first visit. If the plan changes, we talk about it before it changes.

Common questions

If your question is not here, call us. A real person answers.

Will the same carer help me shower each time?

Yes, wherever we can. We roster the same carer to your routine. If they are away, we tell you who is covering before the visit, not after.

Can I ask for a male or female carer?

Yes. Tell us your preference when you call. We will be honest about what we can roster and when.

What if I can do some of it myself?

That is the goal. We support the parts you cannot manage safely and leave the rest to you. Doing things for yourself is worth protecting.

Do you help with continence and toileting?

Yes, discreetly and as part of the visit. Tell us what aids you use so the carer comes prepared.

What if I need help at night?

Tell us the times and the task. Overnight support is a separate conversation, and we will be clear about what we can cover.

Let us talk about what would help.
