The short answer
From $40 per trip, with waiting and return trips agreed before you book.
A one-way trip starts at $40. A return trip with waiting is usually more. Tell us the destination, the appointment length and whether you need us to wait, and we will confirm the total before the day.
| Support | From | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Transport | $40 / trip | Door-to-door transport for appointments, shopping and outings. |
What counts as a trip
A trip is a journey from one address to another. A return journey is two trips unless we agree a waiting arrangement. Ask which structure applies before you book, because the difference is significant over a month.
Waiting time
Appointments run late. A waiting arrangement means the driver stays and brings you home. That is usually charged at an hourly rate or included in a return-trip price. Ask for the number, not the principle.
If you would rather the driver return at a set time, agree the pick-up window. A driver who arrives and cannot find you costs everyone.
Examples
| Trip | Structure | From |
|---|---|---|
| GP visit, one way | One trip | $40 |
| GP visit, return with wait | Two trips plus waiting | Quoted before booking |
| Weekly shop, return | Two trips | $80 |
| Specialist appointment across town | Distance may apply | Quoted before booking |
What changes the cost
- Distance. Longer trips may attract a distance component.
- Waiting. Agreed hourly or included in a return price.
- Parking and tolls. Confirmed before the trip.
- Companion. A second person may affect the fare and the seating.
- Mobility equipment. Some chairs need a different vehicle.
Alternatives worth knowing
Taxi vouchers, community transport schemes and the NDIS transport funding can reduce the cost. Ask your plan manager, your council or My Aged Care what is available. We are one option, not the only one.
Book the return at the same time
Booking only the outbound trip is how people get stranded. Tell us the appointment length and book the return, or agree a call-when-finished arrangement.
Common questions
Is $40 one way or return?
The from-rate is per trip. A return is usually two trips or a quoted waiting arrangement.
Do you charge for waiting?
Ask when you book. We confirm the waiting arrangement and the cost before the day.
Can you take a wheelchair?
Tell us the type and size when you book. We will be honest about what the vehicle can carry.
Is transport covered by the NDIS?
It can be, where transport is in your plan. Ask your plan manager what applies.
Can someone come with me?
Often yes. Tell us when you book so we can plan the seating and the cost.
