Plan management takes the invoice admin off your desk. You still choose the providers and agree the support. The plan manager handles the money and the records, within the rules of your plan.
The short version
- Your plan manager pays us from your plan budget.
- You choose the provider and approve the support.
- Invoices need dates, hours, the support description and the rate.
- You can ask your plan manager for a monthly budget summary.
What plan management is
A plan manager is a registered provider paid from the plan management funding in your NDIS plan. They pay invoices, track your budget, keep financial records and help with the admin that comes with self-directed funding.
They are not your support coordinator. A support coordinator helps you put the plan into practice. A plan manager pays the bills. The two roles can sit alongside each other.
What you still control
You choose who delivers the support. You agree the hours, the tasks and the rate. You can change providers if the fit is not right. Plan management does not take those decisions away from you.
How invoicing works with us
- We agree the support, the schedule and the rate with you.
- We deliver the support and keep a service record.
- We send the invoice to your plan manager with the participant name, NDIS number, service dates, support description, hours and rate.
- Your plan manager checks it against the budget and pays us.
If the plan manager needs something different, tell us and we will adjust the invoice format. The goal is a clean payment, not a paper chase.
What can go wrong
Most problems are administrative. An invoice arrives without enough detail. The support is not clearly in the plan. The budget is closer to the limit than anyone realised. A provider and a plan manager are not talking to each other.
We flag budget questions early. Ask your plan manager for a monthly summary so you can see what is left before you commit to more hours. If the budget is tight, we can prioritise the support that matters most.
Before you book
Ask your plan manager two questions: can they pay this provider, and is this support in the plan? Get the answer before the first visit. It is much easier than fixing it afterwards.
Common questions
Do I pay you directly if I am plan-managed?
No. Your plan manager pays us from your plan budget. You approve the support and we invoice them.
Can I use you if I am plan-managed?
Yes, where the support is in your plan and your plan manager can pay us. Tell us your plan manager's details when you call.
Can my plan manager pay an unregistered provider?
Many can, but the rule depends on your plan and the plan manager. Ask them to confirm before you book.
What do you need from me?
Your NDIS number, your plan manager's contact details and the support you want. We prepare the service agreement and the invoice detail.
What if my plan manager is slow to pay?
We follow up with them, not you. Tell us if something is stuck so we can help unblock it.
